It occurs to me that for each and every one of you on my friends list, I catch myself looking at your pictures, sharing jokes and news, as well as support
during good and bad times. I am also happy to have you among my friends. We will see who will take the time to read this message until the end. If you
appreciate your friends from all over the world, go ahead and copy this into your status too, even if it’s just for a minute. I’m going to be watching
to see who takes care of the friendship, just like me. Thank you all for being a part of my life. Copy and paste please, don’t share. If no one reads my
wall, this should be a short experiment. This is a Facebook game to see who reads and who just scrolls. So, if you read this, leave one word on how we
met. Only one word, then copy this to your wall so I can leave a word for you.

Gaming Night 3rd edition DND or Crush that Guy’s Head:Playing Grok Minotaur Ranger

0

Crush thaat Guy’s Head Or How to Play a Minotaur Ranger named Grok

Well tonight was game night once more. Grok ended up leading the party around and spent much of our session throwing our DM for a loop. Now Grok is a big sorrel colored minotaur. In other words he is a big red minotaur for those of you that don’t know what sorrel means. He is running around with a great bow and arrows shooting things from a distance. His secondary weapon is a greate sword. Well tonight to end one encoounter he went to a general goods shop and brought a can of paint. Meanwhile the group which was protecting the lady in distress had the bad guy trapped in the tailor’s shop. The human blocked the front door. The fire elemental had the back door covered. He was a gensai fire elemental. Once Grok got back with the bright blue paint he told the human to move and walked in. The fire elemental was moving away from the door when Grok took the lid off of the bright blue paint and threw it all over the tailor’s shop. It drenched the invisible stalker in electric blue paint as well as the paint falling through Kid’s hydra. The fire elemental once he could see the stalker rushed forward and gave him a bear hug. Grok went up and asked him what he was doing here. The stalker replied that he had come to be with Rebecca his love. Grok replied that she seemed not to want his attentions. The stalker replied that she was confused. She would come around to his way of thinking. Grok thought for a moment and then crushed the stalker’s skull with his massive hands.

Now this threw the DM for a loop and he took great care to keep the adventure going. We encountered a pack of four goblins and killed them. One got away  from us and got some buddies together and accosted us on the west road. We defeated a group of eight which took a while.

Grok is made up to be a ranger. He did well at that and then simply started killed them with his great sword as well. I think he will be fun to keep playing. And he did not die like my paladin did in another game I am in. So I think this coming Saturday’s session will be just as fun. I am looking forward to it.

“Of course he’s trying to kill you. He’s the DM isn’t he?”

Camp Nano Done

0

Well as of today Camp Nano is done for me. I got to 52,336 as my final word count. Our cabin as a whole did well. I am quitting early this session as I am working on Several DND characters. One i have to have ready by Wensday night.

That game my character is going to level 21 so I have to come up with lots of extras for her. It will be fun to do. I am looking forward to working on it. Then I have to work on my back stories for my level two on Thursday night. That just started last night.

I am playing a black female dragonborn sorceror in that one and I alone survived an attack by three salamanders. All of the males died. But they all tried their damndest not to. I had to get them back to town to ressurrect their lifeless bodies. So we will see what happens when they wake up next session.

Then their is the 4th edition which is going to become 3rd edition tomorrow. Things are going to be fun in that one as well. I have got to work on Grok’s backstory as well. So lots of writing to do even without Camp Nano. I had better get to it. Take care Readers. I will update you all on my progress.

Today’s Daily Prompt: A Friend in Need. Finish this sentence, “My closest friend is…”.

My closest friend is my husband. He is intelligent, clever, and fun to be around. He is kind, generous to a fault, and likes animals. His imigination is vast and he uses it often in witty and amusing ways. He is a very good storyteller as well as a dreamer. He will no doubt be published long before I will.

We have immense fun together and he keeps me from going even more insane than I am currently. He is someone you can sit in total silence in a rooom with and not feel the need to clutter up the silence with endless chatter about nothing just to hear yourself talk. He is a very good cook as well as a good listener. He cares about others. He is generous with his time and will go out of his way to help others even to his own detriment sometimes. He is not perfect but he tries to be fair to everyone he meets unless they give him cause not to be. He is very open minded about politics and religion. He will state his opinions firmly. He takes a stand for what he believes in. He will not back down ffom a problem. He is a “think outside the box” person and often comes up with unique ways of solving problems.

He is cheerful and easy going. He loves a good joke and will often have many people laughing at his own jokes. He is not afraid to poke fun at himself. He does not tell all his secrets to others. He likes to keep others guessing at times.

He has an unmatched sense of wonder and fun. I call him a big kid. But truthfully he is more “world wise” than I am. He is a math wizz. I can balance a checkbook. I have vocabulary. He loves to figure hard problems out. He is far more focused on tasks at hand than I am. He really likes to stump people with his odd knowledge of different subjects. Yet he shares his knowledge freely. And those are only a few of the reasons I love him.

TO Party Or Not to Party? Daily Prompt:Party Animals

0

Todays Daily Prompt:Party Animals

Do you feel energized by bing with a group of people? Or would you tather stay home with a good book?

I have a confession to make. Even as a teenager I was never invited to parties because I wasn’t “cool” enough to hang with. I did not drink or smoke or get high. I wasn’t loud or annoying. I was a bookworm. I would have rather had my head inside a good book than hang arounc with people I personally found to have the attention span of a gnat im heat. So I did not go to any parties. I was a wall flower in high school anyhow so I did not mind not being included in all the keggers on the weekends.

As I have grown up I have found that those people were trying hard to be part of the “InIn” crowd too hard. Today I would much rather have a good conversation with my husband or a good friend than settle for someone whose company I dislike in order to fit in. Barring that I will take a good book and a nice cup of tea any day over meaningless drivel of conversation with strangers.

I suppose this makes me old fashioned. So be it. I need very little to be satisfied with my life. My husband and a few close friends really make my world go around lately. And a good book or three always helps. No where else can you get entertainment for free. I think we are going off to the gaming store in a few hours anyhow. Take care Readers. I will write more soon.

Gaming Underground break-in

Well I just found out we won’t be going to Our Sunday night DND game. Gaming Underground in High Point N.C. has been burgled. They took an X-box 360,a Playstation 3, and a lot of Magic the Gathering cards. Singles I am told.

I am so sorry this happened guys. I hope you are able to recover the things that were taken. Do let us know when you will be reopening. I wish you well in recovering your stuff. Let us know if you have any progress getting stuff back. Hang in there we are pulling for you.

Technoloy Sucks

Sometimes Technology sucks a whole lot. As a blind user of the Internet and the Web sometimes it is hard as hell to get The National Library Service or any of it’s websites to even let me log into them so I can download digital books. I really get tired of even trying to do anything at all on the web sometimes. Sighs. I know the internet is here to stay but sometimes I really, really miss being able to freaking see. When I could see I guess I took it for granted somewhat. I had no idea how annoying not being able to see would be. I’d tear my hair out but it is cut short for a reason you know.

I just wish that everyone that makes these website would make them easier to use. For the Gods Sake quit having all the blind people have to enter in more than an email address in order to access the damned things. It is hard enough for some of us to get online let along deal with email addresses and passwords to sixteen bizillion sites. I wish the government would take an hand in making this all more accessible. But let’s face it. The President isn’t blind. Or you can damn well bet he would freaking do something about this matter. I’d like him to try to navigate his smart phone without being able to see the screen. It’s not as easy as I bet he believes it is. I wish there was a full day where everyone around the world had to put on a blindfold and do things without taking it off the full day. Maybe then they would understand where I am coming from. But probably not. The sighted community is not blind friendly. Look at ATMs. There is a rulle that is in place since 2011 that says all banks have to make ATMS. accessible to everyone. It hasn’t happened yet. My husband still has to withdraw money for me because the atms are not blind accessible. When is all the crap going to stop and become accessible to everyone? Isn’t it about time that we level the playing field for everyone blind and sighted alike? I mean really we are into the two thousands here. Sighs. Anyhow rant over. I just wanted to let that out. I won’t even start in on public transportation. I will leave that till next week. Later all. Take care.
